Typical herbal tinctures are an alcoholic extract of plant or animal material. VINEGAR is among the best solvents you can find in any home. Being acidic is a better solvent then most industrial products to obtain alkaloids.
The general preparation process (herbal tinctures) is really straightforward: the herbs are placed in a container (a jar), the vinegar is added and then the jar is left to stand for 2–3 weeks and occasionally shaken to maximize the extraction.
Here’s an incredible antibiotic, antiviral, vermifuge, antifungal (and a lot of other health benefits as listed below):
1. Apple Cider Vinegar
Contains Malic acid which is antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral, and also supports energy generation that increases mental and muscle function. It enhances the immune system and regulates the balance between acid and alkaline.
It also helps the digestive tract- if the apple cider is organic and unfiltered, it will contain small amounts of ‘mother’ colony (bacteria and yeast) which is an amazing probiotic. Furthermore, cholesterol and blood glucose levels are considered to be reduced.
2. Fresh Hot Peppers
Contain capsaicin (the hotter the chili, the more capsaicin) a substance known to prevent the development of immature fat cells into full-fledged ones (Burns off FAT cells) and to boost metabolism. It also contains vitamin C and a wide range of B vitamins (helps the immune system). A study in the British Journal of Nutrition showed that adding hot chilis to daily meals provides protection in the blood against cholesterol (forming).
It contains allicin, an antibiotic and antifungal compound which protects it from pests. Allicin helps to treat sore throats, colds, flu, poor digestion and is a powerful antiseptic and antimicrobial agent that is effective against many infection types. Most of all, it really boosts the immune system and you won’t be catching colds that easy.
4. White Onions
Contains Quercetin (same as Garlic’s Allicin), a substance known for its health benefits. Quercetin is an effective anti-inflammatory agent (a study in the journal International Allergy and Applied Immunology Archives). Quercetin has been found to relax the muscles of the airway, and can provide relief when caching a cold (or symptoms of asthma). It also acts as an antioxidant to protect the body from free radicals, and to boost your immune system.
Has a long tradition of being very effective at alleviating gastrointestinal discomfort symptoms. In herbal medicine, ginger is known to be an outstanding carminative (a substance that facilitates intestinal gas elimination) and intestinal spasmolytic (a substance that relaxes and soothes the intestinal tract). Modern scientific research has revealed that ginger possesses numerous therapeutic properties including antioxidant effects, the ability to inhibit inflammatory compound formation and direct anti-inflammatory effects.
6. Horseradish Root
Juice or sauce (extracted from horseradish root) it was used to relieve the discomfort of the sinus. The traditional sinusitis treatment is to “take a half teaspoonful of grated horseradish sauce both morning and afternoon without dilution. Do not drink or eat anything after the dose for at least 10 minutes. There will be a strong feeling in the head, followed by a sensation of clearing the sinuses, sometimes accompanied by sweating and maybe tearing.
Horseradish can also be used to treat urinary tract infections (UTI) due to its antibiotic properties, and to destroy bacteria in the throat that can cause bronchitis, cough and related problems. Additionally, horseradish stimulates the body to remove urine, so that bacteria or other inflammatory agents in the bladder can be flushed out sooner than they would normally be removed.
